The FRI (pronounce /fri:/ as in free) stands for Fakulteta za Računalništvo in Informatiko - the Faculty of computer and information science, University of Ljubljana (UL).
In its broadest meaning DataScience@UL-FRI is the initiative to make FRI a leading center for teaching, research and industry collaboration in the area of Data science.
At the core of the initiative is the Master’s in Data science, professional skill development and collaboration with industry. We’ll be discussing all of these in more detail in future blog posts.
FRI has a long tradition (40+ years) in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other data science-related fields. We strongly believe that we can build on this knowledge and expertise, raise it to another level. To create an environment where students can thrive, where industry can grow and where we can do our best as teachers and researchers.
